With over 30 years of environmental technology experience, NSW produces extremely durable film strip clusters and grid tube blocks that can handle the load. They are used as support materials for biological wastewater treatment. Sections of our grid tubes are used as loose fill or as a compact block, serving as tower packing material, for example, for water purification systems. SESSIL® and BIO-NET® set the standards as support media for biomass. As the support material, they are found in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, that are based on the principle of a trickling filter system. BIO-NET® is also used in rotating biological contactors and submerged fixed-bed systems. NOR-PAC® high performance tower packing material, with its excellent separation properties and its durability, provides a high-quality solution for all gas and liquid separation processes, for example in the purification of drinking water.

SESSIL®

SESSIL® film strips are used in trickling filters from low to high rated systems.

Main features:

  • lightweight and compact making it simple and cost-effective to transport
  • plastic strands of polyester filament embedded in the strips increase stability, ensure uniform length and make SESSIL® extremely rip-resistant and durable
  • better protection against performance degradation due to excessive collection of biomass compared to support materials having other structures #
  • individually adaptable specific surfaces of 100 m2/m3 to 250 m2/m3 available, to satisfy the requirements of special cleaning processes

BIO-NET®

BIO-NET® consists of grid tubes welded together, thus forming sturdy, stable block. They are predominantly used as support material for biological wastewater treatment and can withstand considerable static loads. Applications are trickling filter, rotating biological contactors and submerged fixed-bed systems.

Main features:

  • the grid structure that allows three-dimensional flow provides uniform wastewater distribution and optimal oxygen supply to the biomass
  • the vertical structure of the material simplifies the discharge of excess sludge
  • made of polyethylene with additives to ensure UV resistance
  • available in various specific surface (100 m2/m3, 150 m2/m3 and 200 m2/m3).

NOR-PAC®

NOR-PAC® high-performance tower packing material is used in water treatment, exhaust-gas cleaning and in all processes where the interface between gas and liquid plays a decisive role.

Main features:

  • high hydraulic loading capacity
  • low pressure losses
  • high separation efficiency
  • available as loose fill and in compact blocks
